We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our journey: Kwigema Foundation has been officially registered under Tanzania's NGO Act (Cap. 56, 2002) on March 10, 2025, with registration number 00NGO/R/8156. This registration marks the beginning of a new chapter in our commitment to serve vulnerable communities in Kishapu, Shinyanga, and beyond.
The foundation was born out of a recognition that many communities lack affordable and sustainable pathways to improve their lives. From the earliest conversations among our founding members, the vision was clear: empower communities to take charge of their own development through training, advocacy, and innovative solutions.
Under the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women, Elderly and Special Groups, we are now fully authorized to pursue our mission of restoring hope to communities at risk — those affected by poverty, violence, abuse, diseases, and natural disasters.
We thank our board members, community partners, and supporters who believed in this dream and helped bring it to reality. The journey ahead is full of promise, and we invite you to walk it with us.
